“Rapat ini kita laksanakan untuk memperkuat konsolidasi organisasi serta mendukung program-program BKKBN dan program-program Pemerintah Indonesia secara keseluruhan,” jelasnya.
USU Public Relations – Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) hosted the Coordination Meeting of the Executive Board of the Higher Education Consortium for Population Awareness (PTPK) at the Academic Senate Meeting Room, 3rd Floor, on Wednesday (July 15, 2026). The meeting focused on consolidating the consortium's leadership and developing its work program for 2026.
The Rector of USU, Prof. Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si., stated that the coordination meeting was the consortium's second gathering since its executive board was officially inaugurated on April 23, 2026.
"From April 23 until today, we have finally been able to hold this coordination meeting. This is our second meeting," said Prof. Muryanto Amin.
He expressed hope that the meeting would produce a number of concrete decisions that could be implemented promptly in accordance with the consortium's previously established plans.
"We are holding this meeting to strengthen organizational consolidation and to support the programs of the National Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN), as well as the broader programs of the Government of Indonesia," he explained.
The Chair of the PTPK Consortium, Dr. Ir. Krismadinata, S.T., M.T., emphasized that higher education institutions must pay greater attention to the various issues faced by communities in both rural and urban areas.

He stressed that universities should not only advance scientific knowledge and theory but also develop programs that create tangible benefits for society.
"Programs must create impact—social impact, environmental impact, and economic impact," Dr. Krismadinata affirmed.
Meanwhile, the Director of Population Education Partnership Management, I Made Yudhistira Dwipayama, S.Psi., M.Psi., explained that the consortium serves as a collaborative platform between higher education institutions and the government in supporting national population programs.
"The consortium is a collaborative platform that connects universities and the government. Together, we can produce research with practical applications, carry out community service initiatives, and strengthen population-oriented education," he said.
Through this coordination meeting, member universities of the PTPK Consortium are expected to align their respective institutional programs and develop collaborative initiatives that provide meaningful and lasting benefits for the wider community.
