General Requirement
- Indonesian citizen;
- Pious to God Almighty
- Not yet 35 (thirty-five) years old for graduates of master program (S2) and not yet 45 (forty-five) years old for graduates of doctoral program (S3) as of 1 October 2023;
- physically, mentally, and mentally healthy, and drug-free as evidenced by a doctor certificate from a hospital (the certificate is submitted if it has been declared accepted);
- never been sentenced to imprisonment or confinement for committing a criminal offence based on a court decision that has permanent legal force;
- not under contract as a permanent employee/lecturer at another institution;
- has never been dishonourably dismissed as a Civil Servant or as a private employee;
- has a high commitment to the development of the University of North Sumatra;
- have academic qualifications of master programme (S2) or doctoral programme (S3) in the field of science in accordance with the formation, except those that require academic qualifications in certain fields;
- are graduates of undergraduate (S1) and master (S2) programmes accredited by the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT)/Independent Accreditation Agency (LAM) at least equivalent to B (for domestic graduates);
- graduates from universities accredited by the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) at least equivalent to B (for domestic graduates);
- one applicant can only apply for one formation; and
- general requirements change if stipulated in special requirements special requirements

- not yet 45 (forty-five) years old for graduates of specialist doctor/dentist programs as of 1 October 2023;
- for graduates of doctoral programmes (S3) accredited by BAN-PT or LAM (for domestic graduates);
- for graduates of doctor/ dentist specialist 1 (Sp.1) programme accredited by BAN-PT or LAM (for domestic graduates);
- Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.00 (scale 4) for graduates of undergraduate (S1)/magister (S2)/doctor (S3)/professional/specialist 1 (Sp.1) programmes (for domestic graduates);
- has a TOEFL score of at least 500 (five hundred) or equivalent;
- have proficiency, expertise and supporting skills and competence in accordance with the field of duties (attach supporting evidence, if any); and
- preferably have scientific articles published in accredited national journals/reputable international journals or have intellectual work that has received legal protection by the state (granted) totalling 1 (one) intellectual property;
