USU Campus
Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) is one of the best state higher education institutions in Indonesia, located in Medan, North Sumatra. Initially, USU was established in 1952 under the name of Yayasan Universitet Sumatera Utara, USU has grown into a leading university that offers various quality study programs. President Soekarno inaugurated USU as the 7th state university in Indonesia in 1957. In 2003, USU elevated its status to become a Legal-Entity State Higher Education Institution (PTN-BH) and became the 5th PTN-BH in Indonesia. Its various advantages, such as modern facilities and expert teaching staff, make it one of the best universities in Indonesia.
Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka
Merdeka Belajar - Kampus Merdeka, or what is usually referred to as Magang Bersama Kampus Merdeka, is a student career preparation program, especially for students in their final semesters, to guide you to become excellent human resources in their fields and ready to enter the world of work. USU also organizes internship programs, where USU and the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) cooperate with many private and state-owned companies in Indonesia to provide platforms for USU students as a place to learn as well as prepare their intellect and mentality toward their future careers.

Access and Transportation
Students from outside Medan can take a flight to Kualanamu Airport and continue their journey to the USU campus by taxi or bus. Students can also take a train and continue their journey using public transportation.
From Outside Medan
Students can use buses to reach USU by going through the nearest bus terminal and getting off at Amplas Terminal. After that, students can continue their journey to the USU campus using public transportation, which takes approximately 30 minutes.
Students can reach the location of Universitas Sumatera Utara by taking a flight. After arriving at Kualanamu Airport, the journey can be continued by taking a taxi or bus, which takes approximately 60 minutes.
Students can use a ship and dock at Belawan Port. Then, the journey can be continued by public transportation or bus to the location of USU, which takes approximately 120 minutes.
