Graduates Profile
Graduates of the Bachelor of Psychology Study Program can conduct interviews, observations, and psychological tests that are allowed under the principles of psychodiagnostic and the Indonesian Psychological Code of Ethics, the ability to develop psychological measurement instruments based on the principles of classical and modern test theory, the ability to analyze psychological problems and problem-solving / non-clinical interventions for individual and group behavior change using counseling, psychoeducation, training, and other permissible intervention techniques based on theoretical concepts of psychology and the Indonesian Psychological Code of Ethics and have the ability to innovatively research phenomena in society from a psychological perspective and collaboratively across disciplines, utilizing globally competitive technology while still paying attention to local knowledge and being able to disseminate it.
Duration of Study
The FPsi USU Undergraduate Program in Psychology includes a learning process equivalent to 144 credits (SKS), which can be completed within four years. Students are eligible for the Bachelor of Psychology (S.Psi.) degree after obtaining a minimum of 144 credits in accordance with the established curriculum requirements.
Intended Learning Outcomes
Students of the Undergraduate Program in Psychology are expected to be:
- 1Capable of compiling reports on the results of interviews, observations, and psychological tests that are permitted in accordance with the principles of psychodiagnostic and the Indonesian Psychological Code of Ethics.
- 2Capable of developing psychological measurement tools based on psychological concepts and theories based on classical and modern test theory principles.
- 3Capable of undertaking non-clinical problem-solving/interventions for individual and group behaviour change using counselling, psychoeducation, training, and other authorized intervention techniques based on theoretical concepts of psychology and the Indonesian Psychology Code of Ethics.
- 4Capable of undertaking innovative and collaborative psychology research with global competitiveness while still considering local knowledge using quantitative and qualitative research methodologies.
- 5Capable of reporting the results of psychological research in the form of scientific writing in accordance with ethical rules and professionalism.
- 6Capable of utilizing technology in assessment, measurement, psychological intervention, as well as research and communication of research results.
