AIESEC USU is an active organization at Universitas Sumatera Utara. AIESEC is the world's largest student network focusing on leadership development, cultural exchange, and global career development. Members of AIESEC USU engage in various projects and programs involving student exchange, international internships, and social activities in the surrounding community. With a mission to build future leaders who have a deep understanding of global issues, AIESEC USU provides valuable experiences to its members regarding leadership skills, teamwork, and cross-cultural understanding. National Conferences
National Conferences are a series of AIESEC national conferences specifically designed for the development of capabilities, strategic thinking, and self-growth of AIESEC members from all over Indonesia. This series of conferences is held regularly in January, March, June, and November, with different locations in big cities, such as Jakarta, Bandung, Surabaya, and Yogyakarta. This activity aims to provide a golden opportunity for AIESEC members to grow and develop as strong future leaders through various activities specifically designed to improve leadership skills and self-development. National Conferences create a collaborative and inclusive environment so participants can learn from each other, share experiences, and expand professional networks. In addition, participants can also explore the cultural diversity and panoramas of major Indonesian cities that are different every month, making this event an unforgettable experience.
Local Legislation Fair & Meeting
The Local Legislation Fair & Meeting is a legislative meeting held by AIESEC USU that aims to determine and vote on proposed motions to update regulations, including the USU Local Compendium and internal policies. This activity became a platform for discussion and legalization of these proposals. This event was held twice, namely on March 11, 2023, and July 12–13, 2023, in Medan City, with the participation of 63 participants who represented various divisions of AIESEC USU and had an important role in shaping the organization's future. These members were invited to actively participate in this event because each individual's contribution is valuable. The Local Legislation Fair & Meeting is an opportunity for members to vote, contribute, and influence important decisions in the process of forming policies and regulations, with the hope of creating a more inclusive, transparent, and competitive organizational environment for AIESEC USU.
Global Exchange Program (Volunteer, Teaching, Internship)
The Global Exchange Program is one of the exclusive programs of AIESEC, an international initiative that provides valuable opportunities for AIESEC USU members to develop themselves and increase their understanding of various global cultures through projects that contribute to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. This program offers various forms of experience, including volunteering, internships in overseas companies, and teaching programs, with flexible implementation during the Winter and Summer periods as well as project destinations covering various countries in Europe, Asia, America, and other regions worldwide. Each Global Exchange Program project involves 10–15 participants who play an active role in activities that positively impact local communities and support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. This program provides a golden opportunity for participants to learn, contribute, and grow as individuals who care about global issues and play a role in creating positive changes for the world.
