Warming the Recovery of Affected Residents: Hotel Santika Donates 400 Towel and Bedsheet Packages to USU Peduli

USU PR — The USU Peduli Post has once again received humanitarian support from the business sector. Santika Premiere Dyandra Hotel & Convention Medan donated 400 linen packages consisting of usable towels and bedsheets for communities affected by disasters on the island of Sumatra, particularly in North Sumatra. The handover of the assistance took place at Santika Premiere Dyandra Hotel & Convention Medan on Monday (December 8, 2025).
The assistance was received by the Coordinator of the USU Peduli Task Force for Health, Nutrition, Psychology, and Vulnerable Groups, Prof. Dr. dr. Dewi Masyithah Darlan, DAP&E, MPH, Sp.ParK, to be further distributed to affected locations according to on-site needs.
Santika Premiere Dyandra Hotel & Convention Medan expressed its deepest condolences and concern over the disasters that have struck several areas in North Sumatra. As a form of care and corporate social responsibility, Santika Hotels & Resorts prepared 1,000 linen packages containing usable towels and bedsheets to be distributed gradually to affected communities. The initial distribution of 400 packages was entrusted to USU Peduli to ensure that the assistance reaches residents in a well-targeted manner.
The General Manager of Santika Hotels & Resorts, Sarmad, S.Tr.Par., M.Tr.Par., stated that this assistance reflects Santika’s commitment to standing with the community during difficult times.
“The disasters affecting North Sumatra are a shared sorrow for all of us. We prepared linen packages consisting of usable towels and bedsheets as a simple yet much-needed form of support for residents in evacuation shelters and affected homes. We hope this assistance can help maintain comfort and cleanliness during the recovery period. We also hope the community is given strength and that conditions can soon return to normal,” said Sarmad.
USU Peduli expressed its appreciation for the trust placed by Santika Premiere Dyandra Hotel & Convention Medan in channeling assistance through the USU post. Cross-sector collaboration such as this serves as an important reinforcement in expanding the reach of aid and ensuring that the basic needs of affected residents are met more evenly.
Through this synergy, USU Peduli will promptly distribute the assistance to affected areas based on mapped field needs, as part of USU’s commitment to continue being present and accompanying communities throughout the recovery process.
