USU Signs MoA for Preparation of Academic Papers and Draft of Regional Regulation of DPRD Paluta

USU PUBLIC RELATION-MEDAN: Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) through the Institute for Community Service (LPPM) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with the Secretariat of DPRD (Regional House of Representatives) of North Padang Lawas (Paluta) Regency, Thursday (8/7/2021).
The collaboration between the two institutions will focus on the Study and Preparation of Academic Papers and the Draft of Regional Regulation (Ranperda) of the Paluta DPRD Initiative Proposal. The Ranperda meant in this case are the Ranperda for the Management of Character Education and the Ranperda for Pest Control and Agricultural Land Management. Acting on behalf of the Rector, the Chair of the USU LPPM, Prof. Tulus, Vor., Dipl. Math., M.Si., PhD, accompanied by Secretary Mautia Nauly, S.Psi., M.Sc., Psychologist, and Drs. Parapat Gultom, MSIE, PhD. Meanwhile from the DPRD of North Padang Lawas Regency was attended by the Secretary of the House, Drs Ali Akbar Siagian, MM., and the Head of the Sub-Division of Law and Legislation, Bangsawam Siregar, S.Sos, MM.
Head of USU's LPPM, Prof. Tulus, Vor., Dipl. Math., M.Si., PhD., said the goal to be achieved from holding this activity was the availability of academic texts in the context of preparing the draft of Ranperda on Management of Character Education and its documents. In addition, there is also the availability of academic texts in the context of preparing the draft of Ranperda on Pest Control and Agricultural Land Management and its documents.
The method used in carrying out this activity is through document study and survey methods. Primary data collection was carried out through a Focus Group Discussion of stakeholders in the fields of education and agriculture. Meanwhile, secondary data was obtained from official documents from BPS (Central Bureau of Statistics) of Padang Lawas Utara and related agencies. (RJ/YH-©ULC)
