USU Secretary Leads Morning Assembly, Highlights Work Ethic as Key to Achievement

“The success of USU depends on discipline, innovation, and good cooperation between individuals,” he said.
Public Relations USU - Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) again held a routine assembly, led by USU Secretary Prof. Dr. dr. Muhammad Fidel Ganis Siregar, M.Ked(OG), Sp.OG(K)-Fer. In the rally, the work ethic was highlighted as an important factor in achieving institutional targets. It occurred at the USU Rectorate Bureau yard on Monday (10/02/2025).
In his remarks, the Secretary of the University emphasized that the success of USU is highly dependent on the work culture that is built together. He explained that a good work ethic includes discipline, innovation, collaboration, and accountability, which must be applied in every work unit. He believes working with responsibility and transparency will encourage a more productive work environment.
“The success of USU depends on discipline, innovation, and good cooperation between individuals,” he said.
In line with this, Prof. Dr. dr. Muhammad Fidel Ganis Siregar, M.Ked(OG), Sp.OG(K)-Fer emphasized the importance of discipline and collaboration in building institutions. He added that USU's achievements are possible not only through individual work but also through strong synergy within work units.
“USU cannot develop only with individual efforts, but through solid collaboration to achieve the performance targets that have been set,” he said.
The University Secretary also highlighted that building a good work ethic is not a challenge but an effort to remind each other among the academic community. He believes that by loving this institution, each individual will try to give their best in every task carried out. That way, the academic community can feel the benefits of hard work.
“If we love this university, then we will do our best,” he added.
In addition, the University Secretary emphasized that obeying work rules, including the established working hours, supports the university's vision and mission. He said that every program designed by the USU Rector aims to elevate USU to a higher level.
“Let us obey the work rules as a form of support for the programs that have been launched,” he said.
This morning's assembly ended with an invitation to all participants to continue strengthening their work ethic in the university environment. The University Secretary is optimistic that USU will be more advanced and competitive at the national and international levels with the spirit of togetherness and dedication. With a strong commitment, he hopes that all academicians can achieve the targets that have been set.
“With the spirit of togetherness and hard work, we will bring USU to be more advanced and superior,” he concluded.
