USU Rector Hosts Farewell and Welcoming Ceremony for Faculty Deans and Graduate School Directors (2021–2026 to 2026–2031)

Rektor USU Prof. Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si., menyampaikan apresiasi setinggi-tingginya kepada dekanat pimpinan sekolah pascasarjana periode 2021-2026 atas kerja keras dan pengabdian mereka. Beliau menekankan agar para dekan, wakil dekan, direktur dan wakil direktur sekolah pascasarjana yang baru dilantik dapat melanjutkan estafet kepemimpinan dengan penuh semangat.
Medan, HUMAS USU – The Rector of Universitas Sumatera Utara, Muryanto Amin, held a farewell and welcoming ceremony for Faculty Deans, Vice Deans, as well as Directors and Vice Directors of the Graduate School on Tuesday (May 5, 2026), at the 8th Floor of the DLCB Building.
The event brought together leadership from both the outgoing (2021–2026) and incoming (2026–2031) periods, marking an important transition of leadership within the university.
In his remarks, Prof. Muryanto expressed his highest appreciation to the deans and Graduate School leadership of the 2021–2026 period for their dedication and contributions. He encouraged the newly appointed leaders to continue the leadership relay with enthusiasm, while also hoping that former leaders would remain actively involved in supporting the university’s continued progress.
“This event is held as a form of appreciation for our colleagues who have completed their five-year term, and also to motivate the newly appointed deans,” he stated.
Representing the 2021–2026 deans, Aldy Safruddin Rambe expressed gratitude for the trust given over the past five years. He emphasized that their dedication to USU would continue despite the end of their term and encouraged the new leaders to carry out their responsibilities with strong integrity.
“We have completed our five-year mandate, but we remain part of Universitas Sumatera Utara and will continue to support its future development,” he said.
Meanwhile, representing the 2026–2031 deans, Arida Susilowati acknowledged the strong foundation established by the previous leadership.
She highlighted, in particular, the Faculty of Forestry’s achievement of international accreditation and expressed commitment to advancing innovative programs and strengthening collaboration with strategic partners in the new term.
“In this new period, our focus will be on optimizing the achievements of accreditation through programs that support key performance indicators,” she concluded.
