"USU will achieve IKU meeting the gold standard to make it easier to be on par with international standard universities," he said.

USU PR - Rector of the Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si., held a Coordination Meeting with the Dean and Institutions regarding Key Performance Indicators (IKU) and Face-to-face Learning Preparation (PTM).

The meeting was held in the Senate Meeting Room, Lt. 3 USU Central Administration Bureau Building, Thursday (01/06/2022).

The Rector said that the university together with study programs and faculties would strengthen synergies in achieving all the targets of the 8 Key Performance Indicators (IKU).

"USU will achieve IKU meeting the gold standard to make it easier to be on par with international standard universities," he said.

Dr. Muryanto explained that the Independent Learning Campus (MBKM) activities will also be strengthened to achieve the IKU target. USU's first priority program is to design learning so that it is no longer conventional.

"USU is initiating the implementation of open classrooms by inviting practitioner lecturers," he said.

The second priority program is matching funds through the Kedai Reka platform. "The lecturers and professors will design applied research that can be used by industry," said the Rector.

As for the face-to-face lectures which will be held in the even semester of 2022, Dr. Muryanto said that currently, various preparations were being made, such as the preparation of classrooms and the installation of the necessary tools.

"In face-to-face lectures, the entire academic community is required to follow the Covid-19 health protocol, in various places a Care to Protect barcode and body temperature measurement will be installed," he said.
