USU PR - Rector of the Universitas Sumatera Utrara (USU) Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si. inaugurated the new Chair of the Architecture Study Program, Faculty of Engineering in connection with the death of the previous Head of Study Program, Dr. Imam Faisal Pane, ST, MT. The inauguration was held at the USU Central Administration Bureau Building, Thursday (3/10/2022).

To the newly appointed Head of Study Program, Dr. Wahyuni ​​Zahrah, ST., MS, Rector said that the Head of Study Program plays an important role in improving the academic quality and reputation of USU as the study program is the spearhead of the university in implementing the USU Strategic Plan, the work program of the USU Rector for the 2021-2026 period and USU's internationalization.

"The study program can achieve what it wants in the implementation of the Strategic Plan, the teaching and learning process in the study program is an important assessment, as well as in terms of research, dedication and cooperation, everything is in the study program," said the Rector.

The Rector encouraged the Head of the Architecture Study Program to be able to find the right formula in carrying out all the KPI achievement targets that have been set, as well as to improve the academic achievements of students and lecturers, and multiply the quality and quantity of innovations that are beneficial to the community.

Dr. Muryanto Amin also reminded the Head of the Architecture Study Program to continue to support students in participating in the Merdeka Learn Campus Merdeka (MBKM) program. Recognition of 20 credits courses for students who take MBKM must be taken seriously in the study program.

"In addition to MBKM, Architecture students also need to be encouraged to participate in PKM, so that USU can create many proposals, there is already a PKM center that supports it," he added.

He advised that the new Head of Study Program should be able to maintain communication and harmonization with colleagues, as well as institutional partners in order to encourage USU's progress in a better direction.

"We hope that you can give the best dedication and work for USU," he said.

Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Dr. Ir. Fahmi ST. M.Sc, IPM also expects Dr. Wahyuni ​​Zahrah to work hard to pursue the many targets that have been set.

"Hopefully, we can create a conducive atmosphere in Architecture so that we can pursue the dream that was conveyed by the Rector," said the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering.

Head of Architecture Study Program Dr. Wahyuni ​​Zahrah, ST., MS admitted that she is ready to mobilize all the resources of the Architecture Study Program in contributing to the achievement of the best KPI for USU.
