This year USU managed to bring two categories of awards. First Gold Winner for Digital Channel and Silver Winner for PPID category.

USU PR - Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) managed to bring two prestigious awards at the 2023 Indonesian Public Relations Award (AHI) which was held in Semarang, Friday (3/11/2023). This year, the competition to measure the performance of public agencies, Anugerah Humas Indonesia (AHI) 2023, spawned 82 trophy recipients.

USU Rector Prof. Muryanto Amin through the Head of Public Relations, Promotion and Protocol Amalia Meutia, MPsi, Psychologist said that this year USU managed to bring two categories of awards. First Gold Winner for Digital Channel and Silver Winner for PPID category.

"Alhamdulillah, USU Public Relations has again received achievements in AHI 2023. This achievement is not only a form of appreciation but also a benchmark for USU Public Relations that so far it has tried to achieve targets and show good performance in the field of public relations," said Amalia Meutia in her statement, Saturday (4/11/2023).

She explained that this award was achieved thanks to the support of USU leadership and the hard work of the entire USU Public Relations Team. "Hopefully in the future, USU Public Relations will be even better," she hoped.

The 5th Anugerah Humas Indonesia itself is a competition aimed at measuring the performance of public agencies, both ministries, institutions, local governments, BUMN, subsidiaries of BUMN, BUMD, State Universities, and Public Service Agencies (BLU) which are routinely organized by Public Relations Indonesia.

This year, the event, which is entering its fifth year, was attended by 209 entries from 46 agencies. Each consisted of 61 presentation entries and 148 non-presentation entries. After conducting judging sessions for two consecutive days from October 17-18, 2023, 82 trophy recipients were collected. While this year's most appreciated winner is owned by Bank Indonesia with nine trophies.

Founder and CEO of Humas Indonesia, Asmono Wikan recalls the initiative of online media that focuses on presenting information about government and public relations in the country to present the AHI competition. Starting with a sincere intention to contribute to encouraging better Public Information Communication (KIP) activities within public agencies.

AHI 2023 also involves nine judges. They are Asmono Wikan (Founder and CEO of Public Relations Indonesia), Emilia Bassar (CEO of CPROCOM), Fardila Astari (Director of Communication of Rajawali Foundation), Arif Adi Kuswardono (Commissioner of the Central Information Commission for the period 2017 - 2021), and Prof. Dorien Kartikawangi (Associate Professor and Head of Communication Studies Program of Atma Jaya University).

Furthermore, Mas Sulistyo (Creative Director of DMID), Arya Gumilar (Independent Commissioner of PT Reasuransi Indonesia Utama (Persero)), Titis Widyatmoko (Editor-in-Chief of Brilio.net), and Nugraha Andaf (CEO of Andaf Corporation Group).
