USU Public Relations Welcomes SMA Muhammadiyah 09 Kualuh Hulu, Learning about Public Relations

Public Relations USU - Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) received a visit from SMA Muhammadiyah 09 Kualuh Hulu, Labuhanbatu Utara. This visit was welcomed directly by the Head of Public Relations, Protocol and Promotion of USU, Amalia Meutia, MPsi, Psychology, who discussed the public relations system. Held in the USU Bureau Video Conference Room on Tuesday (01/21/2025).
Public Relations (USU), known for its various achievements, welcomed representatives and students from SMA Muhammadiyah 09 Kualuh Hulu. During this visit, USU Public Relations provided relevant and informative counseling on various aspects of public relations.
The Head of USU Public Relations, Amalia Meutia, said that USU, which is one of the best public relations in State Universities (PTN) in Indonesia, with this training can motivate and the good things in USU can be transmitted to the public.
Furthermore, he added that USU Public Relations has broadcast media, namely USU TV, which can be imitated to convey information and achievements that the wider community can access. “USU TV, which not all universities own. That is a pretty good breakthrough in the USU journalism section because it supports the activities at USU,” said Amalia Meutia.
The head of public relations at USU and Irsan Mulyadi, the speaker, provided information about public relations techniques and tricks. The participants were also given information related to journalism, such as video editing, presenting, and processing news.
Rizki Hendrawan, a coach from SMA Muhammadiyah 09 Kualuh Hulu, said that this meeting was not the first and last visit but hoped for a follow-up visit to be guided technically, such as training from the journalistic side.
“So we feel like the total number of times USU has provided information for how we can also be like USU and get the achievements that have been achieved by USU,” he said.
Finally, Fitria Ramadhani, a student, said that USU was her dream campus. She also learned many things through this training, including presenting, video editing, and journalism.
