USU PR - The 38th Anniversary of the Graduate School of the Universitas Sumatera Utara held a scientific oration entitled “The Transformation of Educational World Through Artificial Intelligence”, on Saturday (11/18/2023).
Artificial intelligence in this era helps humans in performing their tasks. In the world of education, artificial intelligence has taken an important role such as in analyzing data. This is in line with the goal of the Universitas Sumatera Utara to align itself with all technological accelerations, especially artificial intelligence which is one of the drivers of such great changes in various linear.
USU Secretary, Prof. Dr. dr. Muhammad Fidel Ganis Siregar, M.Ked(OG), Sp.OG(K)-Fer., also said that AI can foster innovation from various circles, especially in the world of education. With the development of technology, it must be utilized to improve learning and also in the field of research.
“The ability of artificial intelligence to analyze data, understand patterns, and provide innovative solutions opens the door to effective and efficient learning,” said Prof. Fidel.
Prof. Ir. T. Sabrina, M.Agr. SC., PhD, as Director of USU Postgraduate School, said that USU Postgraduate School has successfully achieved the ISO 21001.2018 certificate, which has improved the quality standard of education. He also added that this anniversary can strengthen brotherhood.
“Alumni come to the University, and then there is an opportunity for students to see the alumni. They feel lucky to study here and will be like their seniors,” said Prof. Sabrina.
Prof. Dr. Elisabet Siahaan SE, Mec. as Head of the 38th Anniversary Committee of the Postgraduate School, said that in the future, the Postgraduate School will produce alumni who are knowledgeable and have qualified skills.
“This Postgraduate School is able to produce superior alumni who are ready to compete in the labor market,” said Prof. Elisabet.
