This achievement represents an important milestone for USU, as it has been attained consistently for five consecutive years since 2021.
USU PR – Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) once again reaffirmed its commitment to public transparency and accountability by maintaining the Informative predicate at the 2025 Public Information Disclosure Award (Anugerah Keterbukaan Informasi Publik/KIP) in the Public University category.
The award was received directly by the Rector of Universitas Sumatera Utara, Prof. Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si., at Birawa Assembly Hall, Hotel Bidakara Jakarta, on Monday (15/12/2025).
This achievement marks an important record for USU, as it has been consistently attained for five consecutive years since 2021. In 2025, USU achieved a score of 97.90 and successfully ranked within the top five out of 54 public universities that received the Informative predicate, from a total of 149 public universities evaluated by the Central Information Commission of the Republic of Indonesia.
The award was granted based on the results of the 2025 Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) of Public Information Disclosure, as a form of appreciation for public bodies that implement the mandate of Law Number 14 of 2008 on Public Information Disclosure, and that provide high-quality, transparent, and accountable public information services.
The Rector of Universitas Sumatera Utara, Prof. Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si., emphasized that public information disclosure has become part of the institution’s culture and necessity.
“Public information disclosure for Universitas Sumatera Utara is no longer merely an obligation, but has become an institutional necessity. As a public university entrusted by society, USU is committed to maintaining transparency as a foundation for building and sustaining public trust,” stated the Rector.
Meanwhile, the Head of Public Relations of Universitas Sumatera Utara and Manager of the Information and Documentation Management Officer (PPID) USU, Amalia Meutia, M.Psi., Psychologist, stated that this achievement is the result of collective efforts across the university.
“The Informative predicate is the result of the hard work of the Public Relations Team through PPID USU, in synergy with various work units at Universitas Sumatera Utara. This collaboration and shared commitment are the key to realizing public information disclosure as part of good university governance,” explained Amalia.
In the implementation of the 2025 Monitoring and Evaluation, the Central Information Commission of the Republic of Indonesia evaluated 387 public bodies across various categories. In the Public University category, 54 public universities successfully achieved the Informative qualification.
Through PPID Universitas Sumatera Utara, USU continues to develop public information services, including optimizing the PPID portal, improving the quality of information request services, and strengthening an increasingly integrated information documentation and management system in accordance with the standards of the Information Commission.
With this achievement, Universitas Sumatera Utara reaffirms its commitment to continuously improving transparent, accountable, and sustainable public information services as a form of responsibility to the public.
