USU PR - Universitas Sumatera Utrara (USU) needs the role of alumni in improving the achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPI). This was conveyed by the Rector of USU, Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si in the graduation procession for the period II T.A 2021/2022 which was held in a hybrid manner at the USU Auditorium, Tuesday (03/8/2022).

The Rector said, after graduation, alumni can play a role in improving the achievement of IKU 1 by providing information to study programs and faculties regarding employment data, income, as well as obstacles and input to universities through the tracerstudy.usu.ac.id platform.

"I expect you to always provide information to your study programs and faculties about your activities in the world of work after graduation today, without ever stopping," he said.

In addition, alumni will also be invited to be involved in various developments of study programs, faculties and universities. USU opens very wide collaborations with alumni, especially those related to the Merdeka Learning Campus Merdeka (MBKM) program.

"We invite alumni to welcome home so they can update USU developments. You can if you want to cooperate with study programs to do MBKM," the Rector said.

The Rector explained that graduates who participated in the previous MBKM program could work directly at the company where they did their internship, if there was a contract.

"Like at Bank Mandiri and Bank Sumut, they have contracts so they can work immediately," he continued.

On this occasion, the Rector said that USU is currently activating KPI achievements every year through the Tridarma program innovation and strengthening the implementation of MBKM and student achievements. For that, he expects support from all alumni and the USU academic community, stakeholders and business partners to collaborate.

"We entrust the greatness of the name of USU on the shoulders of all of you and continue to maintain the flame of enthusiasm in working, achieving and creating," he said.

The inaugurated graduates consist of 55 people from doctoral programs, 433 masters programs, 2 masters programs and specialist doctors, 84 specialist education programs, 93 master doctor programs, 2 professional education programs, 2,380 undergraduate programs and 104 people. of the diploma program.
