USU PR—Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) signed a memorandum of understanding with the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS) of the University of Karachi, NED University of Engineering and Technology, and Indus University. The event was held via Zoom meeting on Tuesday (12/28/2021).

USU Rector Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si, said that this collaboration is expected to open up opportunities for USU to progress significantly and achieve Its World-Class University goals.

"Strengthening international collaboration in the field of education is one of the important points of USU's policy to welcome WCU," the Rector said.

According to him, this cooperation program with several international universities can be implemented through joint publications, joint research, student and lecturer exchanges, and various other activities at the academic, social, economic, and cultural levels.

"Lecturers can also collaborate with foreign lecturers to share knowledge and experiences of each university's research," said the Rector.

He added that implementing this cooperation would benefit universities involved in improving the quality of world education.

"At the same time, it also opens up a wider space to implement various activities that support developing and improving skills, knowledge, and innovation," continued Dr. Muryanto.

In addition, through this collaboration, the Rector also hopes that the relationship between USU and the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS) University of Karachi, NED University of Engineering and Technology, and Indus University can be closer and able to make broad positive contributions to the community. institutions, countries, and the world.
