USU Inaugurates 6 permanent professors, Realizing a World-Class Campus

“We are waiting for the work and innovation of USU Professors to continue to support USU as a world-class university, especially in organizing and strengthening the educational ecosystem at USU,” said Prof. Muryanto Amin.
Public Relations USU - Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) again held a Permanent Professor Inauguration Ceremony at the USU Student Center on Wednesday (26/02/2025).
6 professors were inaugurated, including Prof. Dr. Ir. Fatimah, M.T. from the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Ir. Anizar, M.Kes., IPU. ASEAN Eng. from Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Endang Sulistya Rini, SE, M.Si. from Faculty of Economics and Business, Prof. Dr. Ir. Tulus Burhanuddin Sitorus, S.T., M.T., IPM from Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Yeni Absah, SE, M.Si from Faculty of Economics and Business, and Prof. Dr. Ir. Zulhaida Lubis, M.Kes. from Faculty of Public Health.
From January to February 26, 2025, USU has inaugurated 30 permanent professors. In his speech, USU Rector, Prof. Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si. expressed his hope that the Professors can continue to innovate in strengthening the educational ecosystem to support USU as a world-class university.
“We are waiting for the work and innovation of USU Professors to continue to support USU as a world-class university, especially in organizing and strengthening the educational ecosystem at USU,” said Prof. Muryanto Amin.
One of the inaugurated professors, Prof. Dr. Ir. Zulhaida Lubis, M.Kes., revealed that her research focuses on nutrition, health, and intelligence. Prof. Zulhaida Lubis said the research aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially in creating quality human resources.
“My research has more to do with nutrition, health, and intelligence. It relates to the SGDs, which aim to obtain quality human resources. That's the research, so how nutrition can be improved at an early age.” said Prof. Zulhaida Lubis.
Furthermore, Prof. Zulhaida Lubis also expressed her desire to continue developing food utilization based on local potential. According to her, each region has food resources that can be processed into nutritious food, fulfilling the community's nutritional needs.
“I still want to continue the utilization of local potential food. Each region has potential, which can then be processed into nutritious food to help fulfill nutritional needs,” said Prof. Zulhaida Lubis.
