Public Relations USU—Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) started the year 2025 with a morning assembly led by Vice Rector 1, Prof. Dr. Edy Ikhsan, S.H., M.A., attended by the entire academic community on Monday (13/01/2025) in the courtyard of the Rector's Bureau.

In his mandate, WR 1 appreciated the successes achieved throughout 2024 and reminded the importance of evaluation and reflection to improve shortcomings.

“So on this occasion, we should review and reflect on some of our work,” said WR 1.

Vice Rector I, Prof. Dr. Edy Ikhsan, S.H., M.A. emphasized three main things that must be considered by all levels at USU: discipline, which is considered the foundation for carrying out tasks.

“Discipline is the main foundation in carrying out our duties and responsibilities as academics,” said WR 1.

Then, work ethic is an important indicator of professionalism, and finally, the fulfillment of employee rights and obligations must be maintained to create a healthy and productive work atmosphere.

WR 1 further said that these three things can improve the quality of educational services and work performance, allowing the mandated targets to be met.

“Improving the quality of service and, of course, the final performance is to fulfill the targets mandated to the Universitas Sumatera Utara,” explained WR 1.

On the other hand, Director of the Directorate of Student Achievement and Alumni Relations, Rahma Yurliani, S.Psi., M.Psi Ditmawa added that this morning apple is a routine activity held to remind each other and self-introspection so that all staff can be more committed to improving service quality and achieving the targets that have been set.
