USU FIB Holds Public Health Movement and Health Check

"Germas is a national movement to mobilize their respective institutions to practice a healthy lifestyle on a daily basis," the Dean of FIB USU said.
USU PR - Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB) of Universitas Sumatera Utara again held the Public Health Movement (Germas) to invite the FIB academic community to have a culture of healthy living.
The activity was held in FIB field on Friday (1/28/2022) attended by the deputy deans, heads and secretaries of study programs, lecturers, FIB education staff and the Covid-19 Task Force team.
"Germas is a national movement to mobilize their respective institutions to practice a healthy lifestyle on a daily basis," said the Dean of FIB USU, Dr. Dra. T. Thyrhaya Zein, M.A.
Accompanied by Deputy Dean I Prof. Mauly Purba and Deputy Dean II Heristina Dewi M.Pd., the dean added that the activities include morning exercises together, mutual cooperation and health checks assisted by a medical team from the USU Faculty of Medicine. The health checks include blood pressure check and blood sugar check.
"This health check is very important, especially in order to prepare for the implementation of face-to-face lectures for the upcoming even semester," she said.
Dr. Dra. T. Thyrhaya also said that Germas activity is routinely carried out every month by FIB not only to maintain health, but also to maintain the cleanliness of FIB.
"The participants are excited to do mutual cooperation, clean up this FIB area," she added.
She hopes that this activity can foster cohesiveness and strengthen the relationship between the FIB academic communities.
