M. Muhar Om Tatok, a 2021 graduate of the Master of Science in Psychology Program, is known for his active role in preserving and developing Indonesian culture. The award is also a source of pride for the USU Faculty of Psychology, particularly as part of his academic journey as a graduate.

USU PUBLIC RELATIONS – Minister of Culture of the Republic of Indonesia Fadli Zon presented the Indonesian Cultural Figure Award to several cultural figures from Medan, one of whom was Muhammad Muhar Om Tatok, who was recognized as a Cultural Advocate. The award was presented by Director of Cultural Values Empowerment and Intellectual Property Facilitation I Made Dharma Suteja at an event held at Hotel Dharma Deli Medan on Tuesday (September 22, 2026).

Dean of the USU Faculty of Psychology, Prof. Dr. Vivi Gusrini Rahmadani Pohan, M.Sc., M.A., Psychologist, expressed her pride in having a graduate who has achieved distinction and made significant contributions to society and the country. She also expressed hope that this achievement would inspire other students, particularly those in the Master of Science in Psychology Program.

“Congratulations on this award, which is a recognition of your dedication and service to the development and preservation of Indonesian culture, particularly in North Sumatra. The Faculty is proud to have a distinguished graduate who has made significant contributions to Indonesian society and the country. May this achievement inspire other students, particularly those in the USU Master of Science in Psychology Program,” she said.

M. Muhar Om Tatok, a 2021 graduate of the Master of Science in Psychology Program, is known for his active involvement in the preservation and development of culture. This award is also a source of pride for the USU Faculty of Psychology, particularly as part of his academic journey as a graduate.

This achievement aligns with SDG 4 – Quality Education through the role of alumni and education in fostering awareness and knowledge of culture.

Congratulations to M. Muhar Om Tatok on this achievement.
