According to Dr Muryanto, the main purpose of building this cooperation is to improve the quality of human resources owned and produced by both institutions, which will later be developed in the form of student and lecturer internship programs. In addition, it also opens wider space for the implementation of various activities that support the development of insight, science and innovation.

The Rector hopes that with the signing of this memorandum of understanding for the next five years, the relationship between the Universitas Sumatera Utara and PT Pos Indonesia can be even closer and able to make a positive contribution to the institutions involved, the nation and the state. Especially in the field of education, especially in carrying out various forms of Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka programs. (RJ)
