The Rector of USU hopes that the road construction on USU Campus II will be completed in 2022, while continuing to build other supporting facilities under the Kwala Bekala Campus master plan.

USU PR - Rector of Universitas Sumatra Utara (USU) Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si surveyed the road construction around campus II of USU Kwala Bekala, Wednesday (02/09/2022).

The review was also attended by the Head of the Regional Development Planning Agency (BAPPEDA) of North Sumatra Province, Ir. Hasmirizal Lubis, M.Si, Ph.D, Head of the Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD) Dr. M. Ismael P. Sinaga M.Si and the Head of the Department of Highways and Construction of the North Sumatra Province, Ir. Bambang Pardede, M.Eng.

The Rector of USU said this visit was to see the process of proposing the construction of the Kwala Bekala road and the construction of four bridges to support activities at campus II of USU.

"We will start and concentrate on road construction while we will seek other developments," he said.

The Rector of USU hopes that the road construction on USU Campus II will be completed in 2022, while continuing to build other supporting facilities under the Kwala Bekala Campus master plan.

"In the next few years, around this campus will become an organized area, which will also support economic development for the surrounding community," he continued.

Dr. Muryanto hopes that the use of the Kwala Bekala campus can immediately be optimized, not only for the academic community, but also for economic activities that can improve the welfare of the general public.

On this occasion, the Head of BPKAD North Sumatra Province Dr.M. Ismael P. Sinaga M.Si appreciated the development of the Kwala Bekala Campus. For this reason, the North Sumatra Provincial Government will support USU as much as possible.

"We have seen the development plan for the Kwala Bekala Campus, it is extraordinary that we see the implementation of the faculties that have moved," he said.

He hopes that this campus can fully operate and benefit the community in the future.

"We are here to see what steps can be taken soon. We will make activities that can encourage this Kwala Bekala," he continued.
