USU PR - Rector of the Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si inaugurated 19 officials as Heads of Directorates, Boards, Institutions, and Work Units within USU. The event was held at the Student Center on Friday (13/05/2022).

The Rector conveyed several important messages to the appointed officials. First, officials are expected to provide good educational services to meet the needs and requirements of the duties and responsibilities.

"In addition, officials must also be able to provide decisions and certainty for developments, changes and self-preparation of various kinds of problems that will come," he said.

Second, the Rector advised that two things must be done: ensuring that functions and tasks run according to what has been determined and coordinating, collaborating, and sharing among all USU staff.

"The placeman can adapt and work together to achieve certain goals and create a friendly environment among officials and staff,".

The Chancellor added that the newly appointed officials have a special work plan according to the times. However, officials must understand the needs of today's industry and promote better rankings in the accreditation and world-class university rankings.

Third, the Rector reminded that the current work program should be accelerated. Better work programs should also be designed soon.

"I hope that USU will become more efficient, its work achievement targets will be achieved," he said.
