USU PR- The Rector of the Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), Prof. Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si handed over the Decree (SK) for the appointment of lecturers at the Universitas Sumatera Utara to become Permanent Professors which will be given to 32 lecturers. This activity took place in the Academic Senate Room on Wednesday (09/27/2023).

USU Rector Prof.Dr.Muryanto Amin S.Sos M.Si congratulated 32 USU lecturers who will receive a decree on the appointment of professors. Prof.Dr.Muryanto Amin S.Sos M.Si also appreciated and was proud of this historic moment in the journey of 32 lecturers.

"This is a brilliant achievement and a very historic moment in the academic journey of a lecturer. As Rector, I give the highest appreciation and am proud of your achievements," said Prof. Mury.

The USU Rector added that becoming a professor is a commitment to reflect on the mastery of knowledge in the field of education, research, and community service. Prof.Dr.Muryanto Amin S.Sos M.Si gave confidence to this professor to contribute to the academic world and society.

"I am confident that all of you can fulfill all these responsibilities and become role models, as well as make valuable contributions to the academic world and society," he said with hope.

Through this activity, Dra. Syafnita H Silalahi, MSP, as the head of the USU HR Bureau, hopes that the professors who have received the decree can apply their knowledge in their respective fields. In this event, the Deans were also invited, which is expected to trigger other lecturers to apply to become professors so that the number of professors at the University of North Sumatra increases.
