In addition, the introduction of new MWA Expert Staffwas also conducted, namely Dr. Mirza Nasution, SH, M.Hum., and Syarief Fauzie, SE,Ak, M.Ak, CA, CPA, replacing Dr. Mahmul Siregar, SH, M.Hum., and Drs. H. Syamsuddin Lubis, MM, Ak.

In his speech, Prof. Guslihan reminded duties, authorities and function of the USU Audit Committee. He said the role of USU Audit Committee is crucial in the consideration of decision making within USU.

“The USU Audit Committee is an independent committee that carries out evaluations on internal and external audit outcomes towards the overall operation of USU. The main duties and authorities of Audit Committee are to stipulate internal audit policy, study and assess the internal and the external audit outcomes, make conclusions and propose suggestions to the Board of Trustees,” Prof. Guslihan said.

Prof. Guslihan also emphasized that USU Audit Committee and MWA Expert Staff must have high integrity in carrying out their job. The hard-work of USU Audit Committee and MWA Expert Staff are urgently required to complete their work at hand.

“Hard-work is a symbol of success. A success of a job will be realized by hard-work. We know any result must go through a process. In that process there is an experience which requires patients, loyalty, struggle, and in the end we achieve more than what we expect,” he explained.

Drs. Ardian expressed his gratitude for the trust given to return to hold the position as Chairman of USU Audit Committee. As is known, Drs. Ardian was re-elected after formerly having the same position.

“I would like to say thank you for the trust that have been given to me and the team to be here as the USU Audit Committee. We will do the best of our ability to work with full-hearted and give best results,” Ardian said.

Prof. Guslihan concluded his remarks by thanking the former committee and wished the new committee a success in carrying mandates, duties, and function.
