USU PR - Dean of the Faculty of Public Health (FKM), Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), Prof. Dr. Dra. Ida Yustina, Msi, launched the 30th Anniversary of FKM USU. This activity took place in the courtyard of FKM USU on Monday, (28/08/2023).


The launching of the Anniversary was marked by playing a video containing a series of FKM USU Anniversary activities that will take place until October 2023.


Later, the Anniversary of FKM USU will be enlivened with various activities such as dedication, oration, and national seminars to the competition. The competitions include scientific papers, soccer, basketball, public speaking, and many more. Not only internal, but competitions such as soccer can also be followed by external parties of USU or other public health universities in North Sumatra province.


The Dean of FKM USU, Prof. Dr. Dra. Ida Yustina, Msi, advised students to be actively involved in positive activities in this series of activities. In addition, he also mentioned that every 5 years, FKM USU strives for the Anniversary to be carried out optimally.


"This 30th Anniversary, we hope that FKM will be more mature, systematic, organized, and established in the future," added the Dean of FKM USU.


Furthermore, the Dean of FKM USU hopes that the Faculty of Public Health will be more advanced and can achieve an international standard faculty considering that FKM USU has received the title of superior accreditation.


Chairman of the 30th Anniversary Committee of FKM USU, Dhani Syahputra Bukit SKM., MKM said that the competencies that students will get through activities such as community service and seminars are to gain the latest knowledge about digital health and apply public health sciences directly to community.


"With community service, students can directly apply the knowledge they have learned and hopefully students can get used to meeting the community," he added.


For information, this anniversary takes the theme of Digital Transformation and it is hoped that students can pay more attention to the importance of technology in the world of public health so that they can implement it.
