MEDAN – USU PUBLIC RELATIONS: The Dental and Oral Hospital (RSGM) of the Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) carried out a Moderna vaccination for Dentists, Health Workers and Independent Practicing Dentists in Medan, Tuesday (9/14/2021).
This is carried out as a form of the government’s program to fight the COVID-19 virus.The Chairman of the Committee and Director of the USU Hospital Rahmi Syflida drg., Sp.BM reported that this activity targeting 280 doses of Moderna vaccine for Dentists, Health Workers and Independent Practicing Dentists operating in Medan City.
“We hope that all dentists and health workers have fully vaccinated from stage 1 to stage 3 (booster).” Drg.Rahmi said during the interview at the event
Vice Rector I of the USU, Dr. Edy Ikhsan, SH., MA, through online thanked all parties who have been involved in the event. He hopes that the vaccinated intensified by the government can be an opportunity for all elements of society to be able to carry out activities more freely and maximally,
“Although many of our closest people have become victims of this pandemic, hopefully it will not dampen our enthusiasm and efforts in fighting against the Covid-19,” he continued.
The head of North Sumara PDGE, drg. Muhammad Syahbana in his speech said that his paty will contine to pursue the vaccination target in North Sumatra and strive to carry out the second stage of vaccination in the future.
“Based on the latest information we have received, the COVID-19 cases have decreased and hopefully from this activity we can reduce the cases numbers and Medan city immediately is able to lower the PPKM level,” he said.
Head of the Health Service, Ismail Lubis, who also came to review the vaccination activities said that the vaccination is a “spiky bamboo” for the community in fighting COVID-19. He hopes that doctors and health workers can be the example for the community in fighting the COVID-19, one of which is this vaccination. (©ULC)
