USU PR - Head of Public Relations (Humas), Promotion and Protocol of the Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) Amalia Meutia, MPsi, Psychologist won a prestigious individual award, Kartini Humas Indonesia 2024, which was received directly at the top event of The 2nd Kartini HUMAS INDONESIA (KaHI) at Graha Pos Indonesia, Bandung, Friday (30/8/2024).

This event is a form of appreciation for “Kartini” across generations in various sectors, including public agencies, the private sector, and NGOs, with the theme “Kartini's Voice for Future Indonesia” initiated by HUMAS INDONESIA and part of the PR INDONESIA Group. For the award, Amalia Meutia, MPsi and psychologist, thanked PR Indonesia for the appreciation given.

“This Kartini PR Indonesia award is not solely mine but also belongs to the women I represent at the Universitas Sumatera Utara,” she said. 


Amalia Meutia also thanked the USU Rector, family, friends, and colleagues at USU Public Relations for their trust, support, and prayers.

“Hopefully, the KaHI award that has been obtained can inspire women at the Universitas Sumatera Utara to achieve the highest achievements, contribute as widely as possible, and do their best,” she said.

In its statement, the organizers reported that after going through a rigorous selection process, 55 female participants from 32 institutions were selected to advance to the final round. The judging process was conducted in a hybrid manner over two days, on April 24-25, 2024.

Five competent judges were presented to assess the participants' work. They are Asmono Wikan (CEO of PR INDONESIA Group), Elvera N. Makki (President of IABC Indonesia), Dian Amintapratiwi Purwandini (Head of LMAN Communication Strategy Team), Fardila Astari (Communications Strategist Reputasia Strategic Communications Consulting), and Sari Soegondo ( Head of APPRI).

From the judging results, 35 participants were named KaHI 2024 winners, while 4 other participants were selected as Favorite Kartini by Sobat HUMAS INDONESIA 2024. In addition, HUMAS INDONESIA also gave special awards to 9 Kartini Sahabat HUMAS INDONESIA 2024 and 5 Kartini Sahabat HUMAS INDONESIA Kargo Haji Pos Indonesia 2024.

In his speech, the founder and CEO of HUMAS INDONESIA, Asmono Wikan, emphasized that KaHI is not only a place to recognize achievements, but also to raise the spirit of today's Kartini.

Asmono, who also serves as Secretary General of the Central Press Company Union (SPS), added that KaHI is a platform for women to express progressive views related to various broad perspectives, ranging from social, economic, and political to cultural.

Through KaHI, she hopes that Kartini's innovative, collaborative, and inspiring spirit can become a driving force for the nation's progress toward a more just, prosperous, and sustainable Indonesia.
