USU PR- The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) officially opened the Final MIPANTASTIC 2023 at Multipurpose Room 1st Floor Unit 8 FMIPA on Friday (12/08/2023).
MIPANTASTIC 2023 is the second edition of MIPANTASTIC, organized by FMIPA USU. MIPANTASTIC 2023 carries the theme "Membangun Prestasi Mahasiswa Mencapai Standar Emas Indikator Kinerja Utama Perguruan Tinggi dalam Merintis Megatrend Dunia 2045" (Building Student Achievements Towards Gold Standards of Higher Education Key Performance Indicators in Pioneering the 2045 World Megatrend).
Representing USU Rector Prof. Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si., Secretary of the Directorate of Student Achievements and Alumni Relations (DITMAWALUMNI) USU, expressed gratitude to all attendees and appreciated the organization of MIPANTASTIC 2023. He stated that the theme chosen is related to USU's internationalization program.
"A relevant theme that aligns with USU's work program to achieve campus internationalization," he said.
FMIPA Dean, Prof. Dr. Nursahara Pasaribu M.Sc., revealed that the purpose of organizing MIPANTASTIC 2023 is in line with supporting USU's second Key Performance Indicator, which is providing students with experiences beyond campus. MIPANTASTIC 2023 is expected to serve as a platform for students from within and outside USU to enhance their skills and competencies through competition.
"Specifically organized to support USU in achieving its second KPI, which is providing students with journeys and experiences beyond campus," she said.
The Chairperson of the MIPANTASTIC 2023 Committee, Dr. Kaniwa Berliani S.Si., M.Si., reported in her welcoming speech that 110 participants from 19 universities across four islands in Indonesia participated in MIPANTASTIC 2023. She hoped the participants would remain enthusiastic and maintain sportsmanship throughout the competition.
"Good luck in today's competition, stay motivated, and uphold sportsmanship in every competition," she said.
The Final MIPANTASTIC 2023 will continue until tomorrow, Saturday (12/09/2023), with content creator Esther Natalia as the speaker for a student development seminar, followed by the announcement of the winners of MIPANTASTIC 2023
