USU PR – Faculty of Dentistry (FKG) Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) together with PEMA (Student Governement) FKG USU held a bazaar to explore student creativity. This activity took place at the USU FKG Hall for three days on March 23-25, 2022. The event, which is a program from FKG USU, aims to explore the creativity of students in the field of entrepreneurship, in addition to the degree as a dentistry degree that they will carry. This was conveyed by the chairman of the committee for the USU FKG Bazaar, Isnandar, drg., Sp.BM (K) on Thursday (3/24/2022).

“The last time this event was held was two years ago. We can explore the creativity of these students as entrepreneurs, in addition to having a bachelor's degree in dentistry or by profession as a dentist. So it is possible that after he graduates, there may be business opportunities besides that that they can develop," he said.

There are various things that are sold at this bazaar, ranging from food to dental supplies, which also enliven the existing booth. This bazaar also serves to introduce businesses owned by students. Based on information from Isnandar, there are students who already have a shoe cleaning service business and various other businesses.

“There are several dental supplies that participate in this activity, besides that there are students who sell clothes, some have opened their own shop for shoes cleaning services. So this bazaar can also introduce businesses that have been running so far," he added.

By holding this activity, Isnandar who is also a lecturer at the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at USU FKG hopes that the creativity of FKG students can continue to increase, and they can socialize well.

The USU FKG bazaar is not only for USU FKG students, but is also open to the public so that it can be attended by anyone both dentists and students in USU. (©ULC)
