The implementation of the Computer-Based Written Test (UTBK) at the Information Systems Center (PSI) of Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) proceeded in an orderly and smooth manner on the final day, Thursday (April 30, 2026). This marked the closing of the examination series, with continued emphasis on discipline and technical readiness.
USU’s Coordinator of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Ainul Hizriadi, stated that approximately 100 participants attended the morning session on the final day. He explained that the exam was conducted in only one session.
“For participants at PSI today, there were around 100 in the morning session. Since it is the final day, there is no afternoon session,” he said.
He also emphasized that the UTBK implementation ran smoothly without any significant issues, from participant arrival to the execution of the exam.
“So far, there have been no obstacles. From participant entry, verification, to the start of the exam, everything has gone smoothly,” he added.
Furthermore, Ainul explained that preparations for the UTBK had been carried out well in advance through multiple trial stages.
“We conducted both national-scale trials and independent simulations to ensure that the devices, network, and exam applications functioned properly, and to ensure that staff fully understood the procedures,” he explained.
He also expressed his hopes for all UTBK participants to achieve the best possible results in line with their chosen study programs.
“We hope that participants will pass according to their respective choices, and that the implementation continues to run smoothly until completion,” he concluded.
