Field Accreditation of the Pharmaceutical Science Study Program, LAM-PTKES Assessor Team: There are 9 Assessment Indicators

“We are waiting for these two teams of assessors not merely to achieve accreditation but to see if everything we have run so far has indeed met the standards,” said VR I.
Public Relations USU—The Indonesian Institute for Self-Accreditation of Higher Education in Health (LAM-PTKes) visited the Master of Pharmaceutical Science Study Program, Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), as part of a field assessment. The assessment was conducted in the USU Faculty of Pharmacy Meeting Room on Thursday (10/04/2025).
This field assessment involved two assessor teams, Prof. Dr. Apt. Teuku Nanda Saifullah Sulaiman, S.Si., M.Si. Apt. from Gadjah Mada University (UGM) and Prof. Dr.rer.nat. Apt. from Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB).
Prof. Dr. Edy Ikhsan, S.H., M.A., Vice Rector I of USU, mentioned that these two assessors are crucial to continue the learning cycle. This visitation will impact the Pharmaceutical Science Study Program.
“We are waiting for these two teams of assessors not merely to achieve accreditation but to see if everything we have run so far has indeed met the standards,” said VR I.
Furthermore, VR I USU, Master of Pharmaceutical Science Study Program, this year improved general learning outcomes, national and international-level achievements of its students, and timely graduation. “Scientific publications of lecturers' research results in reputable national and international scientific journals Q1, Q2, and Q3,” he said.
The Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Khairunnisa, S.Si., M.Pharm., Ph.D., Apt (dean), said that the Pharmaceutical Science Study Program had prepared forms for approximately 6 months. This is done to support the field assessment process.
“So far, we have prepared the forms for a long time, more than 6 months ago,” he said.
On the same occasion, Prof. Dr. Teuku Nanda Saifullah Sulaiman, S.Si., M.Si., Apt., the assessor team, said the field accreditation will be held for the next three days. He continued that nine assessment indicators start from the vision and mission of the Study Program and Faculty. This assessment includes the curriculum for learning facilities.
"So we will try to see and explore the 9 indicators. Hopefully, everything is in accordance with the existing indicators," he said.
