Elected Regent of Labuhanbatu Gathering with USU Rector

On the occasion, the Rector of USU expressed his pride in the achievement of USU alumni, Dr. H. Erik, who had been elected as the Regent of Labuhanbatu. “Of course we are proud that our alumni are successful. Mr. Erik the Regent is not unfamiliar someone, because he is a big USU family,” he said.
USU PUBLIC RELATIONS: the elected Labuhanbatu Regent for the period of 2021-2024 who is also an alumni of the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) Dr. H. Erik Adtrada Ritonga, MKM, held a meeting with USU Rector Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si., on Thursday (8/26) in the Meeting Room USU’s Third Floor of Rector’s Bureau.
The arrival of the Regent of Labuhanbatu itself was intended to explore cooperation with USU, especially in the field of education and improving human resources in Labuhanbatu. “So because it has not been officially inaugurated, it is still an assessment to discuss what can be collaborated with the Labuhanbatu Regency Government. Of course, USU is ready to help to develop the potential of Labuhanbatu,” said the USU Rector who on the occasion was accompanied by Vice Rector III Dr. Poppy Anjelisa Zaitun Hasibuan, S.Si., M.Si., Apt.
The Regent of Labuhanbatu, Dr. H. Erik Adtrada Ritonga, MKM was pleased to be able to return to his alma mater and stay in touch with the Rector of USU. “It is an honor to be able to meet the Rector and Vice Rector. I will return later after I have been appointed to cooperate with USU,” he said.
Regent Erik said that he would discuss with his staff regarding the cooperation mechanism that would be carried out by USU. “In particular, we hope for the development of education in Labuhanbatu,” he said.
In addition, Regent Erik also hoped that USU could place specialist medical students at the puskesmas (community health center) or at the hospital in Labuhanbatu. “I think we will cooperate in the health and education sectors with USU,” Erik said, who was accompanied by the chairman of the KNPI for North Sumatra, Syamsir Pohan.
For information, the Regent of Labuhanbatu, Dr. H. Erik Adtrada Ritonga, MKM is the original local man of Rantauprapat, Labuhanbatu, born on May 5th, 1980. Before being elected as Regent, he was a Member of Commission XI DPR RI from the People’s Conscience Party, (Hanura).
Paired with Hj. Ellya Rosa Siregar, S.Pd, MM, Erik Adtrada was carried was supported by four parties, including Hanura, Nasdem, PDIP and PKB. On May 2nd, 2021, the Election Commission (KPU) of Labuhanbatu officially appointed Erik-Ellya as the Regent and Deputy Regent of Labuhanbatu for the period of 2021-2024. (©ULC)
