HUMAS USU – The Faculty of Agriculture at Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) invites researchers, academics, professionals, practitioners, and students to participate in the 10th International Conference on Agriculture, Environment, and Food Security (AEFS 2026), which will be held in a hybrid format on September 2, 2026.

The conference will take place at the Digital Learning Center Building (DLCB), Universitas Sumatera Utara, Medan, Indonesia, bringing together participants from around the world to exchange research findings, share ideas, and strengthen international collaboration.

Carrying the theme "Synergizing Green Economy and Agro-Innovation to Enhance Food Security and Environmental Sustainability," AEFS 2026 aims to provide an international platform for researchers and practitioners to discuss innovative solutions that contribute to food security and environmental sustainability.

The conference will be officially opened with welcoming remarks by Prof. Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si., Rector of Universitas Sumatera Utara, and Dr. Rulianda Purnomo Wibowo, S.P., M.Ec., Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara.

AEFS 2026 will feature three distinguished international keynote speakers:

• Prof. Kotaro Takayama from Toyohashi University of Technology, Japan, specializing in Agricultural and Biological Environmental Engineering.
• Prof. Brijesh Kumar Tiwari from the Ashtown Food Research Centre & University College Dublin, Ireland, specializing in Sustainable Food Technologies.
• Dr. Sri Fajar Ayu, S.P., M.M. from Universitas Sumatera Utara, Indonesia, specializing in Sustainable Agribusiness Management.

The conference will cover a wide range of topics, including:

• Plant Science (Agronomy, Plant Breeding, Biotechnology, Integrated Pest Management, and Soil Science)
• Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness
• Animal Science
• Food Science and Technology
• Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering

• August 10, 2026: Full paper submission deadline
• August 16, 2026: Full paper acceptance notification

All accepted papers will be published in the IOP Conference Series, which is indexed by Scopus. In accordance with IOP Publishing policy, each author may publish a maximum of two (2) articles, either as the corresponding author or as a co-author.
