"USU as one of the educational institutions contributed to the research program from Bank Indonesia within the framework of the JCLI, it turns out that this journal is qurtile 2 Scopus, every research is published at the end," he said.

USU's scientific products must be aligned with the needs of the community to make life easier and improve the economic sector which is the driving force behind development.

"Universities in the industrial era 4.0 are no longer ivory towers that distance society from society, but rather as problem solvers who present real answers to problems faced by the nation and state," he continued.

According to Prof. Fidel, the socialization that was held today will broaden the knowledge of practitioners, open new networks that allow the realization of new collaborations between universities, especially in the field of innovation development, research improvement and journal publications.

On the same occasion, Executive Director of the Bank Indonesia Institute Yoga Affandi, Ph.D said that policies made must be based on strong research, therefore policy makers must be close to academics, one of which is USU.

“One of the academic sources is at USU. After this, it is also hoped that the relationship between Bank Indonesia and USU and other universities in North Sumatra will be closer," he said.

For this reason, Bank Indonesia will facilitate research that will be carried out by USU to increase the sharpness of policy making. (©ULC)
