USU PR - Universitas Sumatera Utara together with Bank Indonesia held a Dissemination of Research Results, Socialization of the Bank Indonesia Research Grant Program (RGBI)-Research Assistance Program (Banlit) and Promotion of the Journal of Central Banking Law and Institution (JCLI) Bank Indonesia. This event was held at the USU Faculty of Economics and Business, Tuesday (3/22/2022).
University Secretary Prof. Dr. dr. M. Fidel Ganis Siregar, M.Ked (OG), SpOG(K) said that research conducted by academics and students is expected to be able to produce useful innovations and become important solutions to various economic problems and other fields. faced by society. The results of the research will later be published in JCLI Bank Indonesia.

USU's scientific products must be aligned with the needs of the community to make life easier and improve the economic sector which is the driving force behind development.
"Universities in the industrial era 4.0 are no longer ivory towers that distance society from society, but rather as problem solvers who present real answers to problems faced by the nation and state," he continued.
According to Prof. Fidel, the socialization that was held today will broaden the knowledge of practitioners, open new networks that allow the realization of new collaborations between universities, especially in the field of innovation development, research improvement and journal publications.
On the same occasion, Executive Director of the Bank Indonesia Institute Yoga Affandi, Ph.D said that policies made must be based on strong research, therefore policy makers must be close to academics, one of which is USU.
“One of the academic sources is at USU. After this, it is also hoped that the relationship between Bank Indonesia and USU and other universities in North Sumatra will be closer," he said.
For this reason, Bank Indonesia will facilitate research that will be carried out by USU to increase the sharpness of policy making. (©ULC)
