15 USU Students Intern at MBKM at Pegadaian

USU PUBLIC RELATIONS-MEDAN: A total of 15 students from the Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) received an independent internship to study the independent campus (MBKM) at PT Pegadaian Persero. They are accepted after going through a rigorous selection process.
Vice Rector I Dr Edy Ikhsan, MA, who represented USU Rector Dr. Muryanto Amin, at the launching of Pegadaian internship students at the Grand Mercure Hotel, Friday (9/10/2021) said this program is a national program that is very useful for teachingstudents to process in working world.
“We really appreciate PT Pegadaian for facilitating our students to get to know the world of work.This activity is very important to link and match the knowledge gained withthe professional world,” he said.
Dr. Edy Ikhsan also hopes that USU students who are interns will be able to process optimally and bring the university's good name."This is a good opportunity anddon't waste it," he said.
The head of PT Pegadaian Kanwil I Medan Edwin S Inkriwang explained, this program is an effort from Pegadian to support the world of education and the Kemendikbudristek national program, especially the MBKM program."There are 81 out of 11 universities that accept internships at Pegadaian," he said.
Among the universities are the Universitas Sumatera Utara, Medan State University, Medan State Polytechnic, Main Potential, HKBP Nommensen, Panca Budi, UMN Al Washliyah, Wilmar Bisnis Indonesia, STIE Sukma, STAI Al Ishlahiyah Binjai and theIslamic Universitas Sumatera Utara.
“We have also designed a place to discuss about Pegadaian products.Currently, it is located at USU under the name The Gade Creative Lounge, it is currently in the process of being developed and will be operated by the end of the year," he said.
Edwin S Inkriwang said the benefits of this program are that students will get a certificate, a recommendation to become a Pegadaian employee, scholarships for the five best participants and pocket money for participantswho reach the target," he said..
He hoped that this program will run well and be able to provide benefits for the world of education, especially the progress of Indonesian universities and bring progress to the BUMN PT Pegadaian (Persero). (©ULC)
