CONCERNING

DETERMINATION OF SINGLE TUITION FEE (UKT) AND CONTRIBUTION

INSTITUTIONAL DEVELOPMENT (IPI) FOR NEW STUDENTS OF STUDY PROGRAMS

MASTERS/APPLIED MASTERS, DOCTORAL, SPECIALISTS AND

SUBSPECIALISTS IN UNIVERSITAS SUMATERA UTARA

RECTOR OF UNIVERSITAS SUMATERA UTARA

Considering:

a. that based on the provisions of Article 76 paragraph (3) of Law Number 12 of 2012 concerning Higher Education, universities or higher education organizers receive payments that are borne by students to finance their studies according to the ability of students, parents of students, or the party financing them;

b. that in order to develop and improve the quality of education, it is necessary to adjust the operational costs of organizing education that apply to Masters/Applied Masters, Doctoral, Specialist and Sub-Specialist Study Programs within Universitas Sumatera Utara in accordance with the provisions of the Regulation of the Minister of Education, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia Number 2 of 2024 concerning Standards for Higher Education Operational Cost Units at State Universities within the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology; and

c. that based on the considerations as referred to in letters a and b, it is necessary to stipulate the Decree of the Rector of Universitas Sumatera Utara concerning the Determination of Single Tuition Fees (UKT) and Institutional Development Fees (IPI) for New Students of Masters/Applied Masters, Doctoral, Specialist and Sub-Specialist Study Programs within Universitas Sumatera Utara .

Remembering:

1. Law Number 20 of 2003 concerning the National Education System (State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia of 2003 Number 78, Supplement to the State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia Number 4301);

2. Law Number 12 of 2012 concerning Higher Education (State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia of 2012 Number 158, Supplement to the State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia Number 5336);

3. Government Regulation Number 4 of 2014 concerning the Implementation of Higher Education and Management of Higher Education Institutions (State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia of 2014 Number 16, Supplement to the State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia Number 5500);

4. Government Regulation Number 16 of 2014 concerning the Statutes of Universitas Sumatera Utara (State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia of 2014 Number 42, Supplement to the State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia Number 5510);

5. Government Regulation Number 26 of 2015 concerning the Form and Funding Mechanism of State Universities as Legal Entities as amended by Government Regulation Number 8 of 2020 concerning Amendments to Government Regulation Number 26 of 2015 concerning the Form and Funding Mechanism of State Universities as Legal Entities (State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia Number 28 of 2020, Supplement to the State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia Number 6461);

6. Government Regulation Number 8 of 2020 concerning Amendments to Government Regulation Number 16 of 2015 concerning the Form and Funding Mechanism of State Universities as Legal Entities (State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia 2014).

7. Regulation of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia Number 2 of 2024 concerning Standards for Higher Education Operational Costs at State Universities within the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology;

8. Regulation of the Board of Trustees of Universitas Sumatera Utara Number 2 of 2023 concerning Amendments to the Regulation of the Board of Trustees Number 1 of 2022 concerning the Organization and Governance of Universitas Sumatera Utara ;

9. Regulation of the Chancellor of Universitas Sumatera Utara Number 12 of 2022 concerning Financial Management of Universitas Sumatera Utara; and

10. Regulation of Universitas Sumatera Utara Rector Number 13 of 2022 concerning Academic Regulations for the Undergraduate Program, Masters Program, and Doctoral Program of the Universitas Sumatera Utara .

DECIDES:

To stipulate:

DECREE OF THE RECTOR OF UNIVERSITAS SUMATERA UTARA ON THE DETERMINATION OF SINGLE TUITION FEE (UKT) AND INSTITUTIONAL DEVELOPMENT FEE (IPI) FOR NEW STUDENTS OF MASTER/APPLIED MASTER, DOCTORAL, SPECIALIST, AND SUB-SPECIALIST STUDY PROGRAMS AT UNIVERSITAS SUMATERA UTARA.

FIRST: To stipulate a Single Tuition Fee (UKT) and Institutional Development Fee (IPI) for New Students of Master/Applied Master, Doctoral, Specialist, and Sub-Specialist Study Programs at Universitas Sumatera Utara.

SECOND: The Single Tuition Fee (UKT), referred to in the First Dictum, is a fee each Student charges to support the learning process.

THIRD: The Institutional Development Fee (IPI), as referred to in the First Dictum, is a fee charged to students as a contribution to the development of higher education.

FOURTH: Single Tuition Fee (UKT) and Institutional Development Fee (IPI), as referred to in the First Dictum, are charged to New Students of Master/Applied Master, Doctoral, Specialist, and Sub-Specialist Study Programs at Universitas Sumatera Utara starting from the 2024/2025 Academic Year.

FIFTH: This decision is effective from the date of stipulation.
