DECREE OF THE RECTOR OF UNIVERSITAS SUMATERA UTARA NUMBER /UN5.1.R/SK/KEU/2024 CONCERNING THE DETERMINATION OF SINGLE TUITION FEES (UKT) AND INSTITUTIONAL DEVELOPMENT FEES (IPI) FOR NEW STUDENTS OF UNDERGRADUATE AND DIPLOMA STUDY PROGRAMS THROUGH NATIONAL SELECTION BASED ON ACHIEVEMENT, NATIONAL SELECTION BASED ON TESTS AND INDEPENDENT SELECTION WITHIN UNIVERSITAS SUMATERA UTARA

RECTOR OF UNIVERSITAS SUMATERA UTARA

Considering:

a. that based on the provisions of Article 76 paragraph (3) of Law Number 12 of 2012 concerning Higher Education, universities or higher education organizers receive payments that students bear to finance studies in accordance with the ability of students, parents of students, or parties who finance;

b. that the calculation of the new tariff of Single Tuition Fees has been carried out in accordance with the provisions in the Regulation of the Minister of Education, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia Number 2 of 2024 concerning Standard Unit Costs for Higher Education Operations at State Universities within the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology; and

c. that based on the considerations as referred to in letters a and b, it is necessary to stipulate the Decree of the Rector of Universitas Sumatera Utara concerning the Determination of Single Tuition Rates (UKT) and Institutional Development Fees (IPI) for New Students of Undergraduate and Diploma Study Programs in the Entrance Path of National Selection Based on Achievement, National Selection Based on Test and Independent Selection at Universitas Sumatera Utara.

Remembering:

1. Law Number 20 of 2003 concerning the National Education System (State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia of 2003 Number 78, Supplement to the State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia Number 4301);

2. Law Number 12 of 2012 concerning Higher Education (State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia of 2012 Number 158, Supplement to the State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia Number 5336);

3. Government Regulation Number 4 of 2014 concerning the Implementation of Higher Education and Management of Higher Education (State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia of 2014 Number 16, Supplement to State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia Number 5500);

4. Government Regulation Number 16 of 2014 concerning the Statute of Universitas Sumatera Utara (State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia of 2014 Number 42, Supplement to the State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia Number 5510);

5. Government Regulation Number 26 of 2015 concerning Forms and Funding Mechanisms for Legal Entity State Universities as amended by Government Regulation Number 8 of 2020 concerning Amendments to Government Regulation Number 26 of 2015 concerning Forms and Funding Mechanisms for Legal Entity State Universities (State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia of 2020 Number 28, Supplement to State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia Number 6461);

6. Government Regulation Number 8 of 2020 concerning Amendments to Government Regulation Number 16 of 2015 concerning Forms and Funding Mechanisms for Legal Entity State Universities (State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia of 2014);

7. Regulation of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia Number 2 of 2024 concerning Standard Operating Costs for Higher Education at State Universities within the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology;

8. Regulation of the Board of Trustees of Universitas Sumatera Utara Number 2 of 2023 concerning Amendments to the Regulation of the Board of Trustees Number 1 of 2022 concerning Organization and Governance of Universitas Sumatera Utara;

9. Regulation of the Rector of Universitas Sumatera Utara Number 12 of 2022 concerning Financial Management of Universitas Sumatera Utara; and

10. Regulation of the Rector of Universitas Sumatera Utara Number 13 of 2022 concerning Academic Regulations for Undergraduate Programs, Masters Programs, and Doctoral Programs at Universitas Sumatera Utara.

DECIDES
To stipulate:

DECREE OF THE RECTOR OF UNIVERSITAS SUMATERA UTARA CONCERNING THE DETERMINATION OF SINGLE TUITION FEE (UKT) RATES AND INSTITUTIONAL DEVELOPMENT FEES (IPI) FOR NEW STUDENTS OF UNDERGRADUATE AND DIPLOMA STUDY PROGRAMS FOR ADMISSION TO NATIONAL SELECTION BASED ON ACHIEVEMENT, NATIONAL SELECTION BASED ON TESTS AND INDEPENDENT SELECTION WITHIN UNIVERSITAS SUMATERA UTARA.

ONE:

Establishing Single Tuition Rates (UKT) for New Students of Undergraduate and Diploma Study Programs for Entrance Pathways for National Selection Based on Achievement, National Selection Based on Tests, and Independent Selection and Institutional Development Fee (IPI) for New Students of Undergraduate and Diploma Study Programs for Independent Entrance Pathways at Universitas Sumatera Utara.

SECOND:

The Single Tuition Rate (UKT), referred to in the First Dictum, is a single tuition fee per semester each student bears based on the economic capacity of students, parents, and / or other parties who finance.

THIRD:

Institutional development Fee (IPI), as referred to in the First Dictum, is a fee charged to students as a contribution to the development of higher education.

FOURTH:

The Tuition Fee (UKT) and Institutional Development Fee (IPI) rates as referred to in the First Dictum consist of 8 (eight) groups.

FIFTH:

The imposition of the Institutional Development Fee (IPI) group, as referred to in the First and Fourth Dictum, is based on the imposition of the Single Tuition Fee (UKT) group for New Undergraduate and Diploma Program Students in the Independent Selection Entry Path.

SIXTH :

Single Tuition Rates (UKT) and Institutional Development Fees (IPI), as referred to in the First Dictum, are charged to New Students of Undergraduate and Diploma Study Programs at Universitas Sumatera Utara starting in the 2024/2025 Academic Year.

SEVENTH:

This decision is effective as of the date of its stipulation.
