
USU SPIRIT visited the University of Peradeniya
Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) participated together in realizing the final goal of this project, namely increasing awareness of young people to be able to prevent infectious diseases such as obesity, hypertension, chronic heart disease, metabolic syndrome, cancer and other diseases, through increased physical activity and proper nutrition.

USU SPIRIT Club Members Won the National Bodil Taekwondo
Fiora Patricia Br Ginting, a USU SPIRIT Club athlete member who is also an Accounting student at the Faculty of Economics, University of North Sumatra in 2021, managed to bring home two medals, namely: the Women's Senior Poomsae Gold Medal and the Women's U-62 Kg Senior Kyorugi Silver Medal.

This topic is very interesting because nutrition has a dominant role and identifies nutritional responses to disease conditions. Apart from that, physical activity can be influenced by genes, both in performance in sports and endurance in physical activity.

Dissemination of SPIRIT Project and SPIRIT Club Activities
The international conference was organized by the Faculty of Medicine, Royal College of Medicine Perak, and took place from February 27-29, 2024. The conference's theme was "Health and Diseases: The Integration of Physiological Instruments and Molecular Technique." The conference was held in collaboration with Universitas Sumatera Utara and was attended by nearly 250 participants from various universities worldwide.
