The Audit Committee Candidate Selection process aims to select members who will play a role in ensuring good university governance and strengthening effective, transparent, and accountable internal oversight.
Medan (USU Board of Trustees): The Board of Trustees of Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) officially opened the Audit Committee Candidate Selection process for the 2025–2030 term. This was announced in an official release issued by the USU Board of Trustees on Monday (July 28, 2025).
The Audit Committee Candidate Selection process aims to select members who will play a role in ensuring good university governance and strengthening effective, transparent, and accountable internal oversight. This step was marked by the appointment of the USU Audit Committee Candidate Selection Committee for the 2025–2030 term by the Board of Trustees in a plenary meeting held on Friday, July 25, 2025. At the meeting, the Board of Trustees appointed seven members to the committee: Prof. Dr. Erman Munir, M.Sc., Ir. Indra Chahaya S., M.Si., Prof. Erlina, SE, M.Si., Ph.D., Ak., CA, CMA., Prof. Ir. Nazaruddin, M.T., Ph.D., Dr. Husni Thamrin, S.Sos., MSP, Musa Idishah, and Fadhullah, SE, M.M.
The USU Audit Committee is an independent committee with a strategic role in evaluating the results of internal and external audits, affecting the overall administration of the university. This committee's primary duty and authority is to establish internal audit policies, study and evaluate audit results, and then formulate conclusions and provide suggestions or recommendations to the USU Board of Trustees to support quality and responsible decision-making.
The Selection Committee accepts applications for prospective Audit Committee members from July 29 to August 4, 2025. Interested applicants who meet the qualifications can pick up their application documents directly at the USU Board of Trustees Office at Jalan Universitas No. 42, USU Campus, Medan, North Sumatra.
Complete information regarding the registration process, including requirements and required documents, can be accessed through the official website of the USU Board of Trustees at the following link: https://mwa.usu.ac.id/penjaringankausu . The administrative selection will be held from August 5th to 6th, 2025. The names of Audit Committee candidates who passed the administrative selection will be announced the following day, August 7th, 2025. Candidates who pass the initial selection will then participate in interviews from August 11th to 13th, 2025, with the results announced on the website http://mwa.usu.ac.id .
The USU Board of Trustees, represented by Prof. Dr. Erman Munir, M.Sc., as Chair of the Audit Committee Candidate Selection Committee, hopes that this process will select Audit Committee members with high integrity and a strong commitment to carrying out their supervisory role, for the sustainable progress and accountability of Universitas Sumatera Utara.
