Head of HR Bureau Dra Syafnita Hanura Silalahi, M.SP said, USU is a legal entity that continues to move forward and develop towards a World Class University, so it requires educational staffs with competence and capability.
USU PR - Bureau of Human Resources (HR) Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) held a Basic Leadership Training Activity for USU Administration Executives in 2021 as an effort to improve the competence and capability of education staff according to managerial competency standards.
The training, which was attended by 98 participants, was held at Pancur Gading Hotel Kab. Deli Serdang, Thursday (12/16/2021).
This training provides a large class entitled "Introduction to Organizations, Roles, Duties, Authorities and Responsibilities" by Prof. Dr. Alvi Syahrin, S.H., M.S. and “Self Acknowledgment” by Prof. Dr. Irmawati, Psychologist. there are also several other parallel classes.

"USU needs staff who have competencies and capabilities that meet managerial and leadership competency standards as heads of divisions, heads of sub-sections and reliable education personnel," the Head of the HR Bureau said.
According to her, the basic leadership training is important to be held by the HR Bureau as an effort to meet USU’s needs. The Heads of Subdivisions and Subdivisions who take part in this training are expected to have the appropriate knowledge, skills and attitudes in accordance with the competencies they serve.
"Educational staffs are emphasized to be able to serve well to the stakeholders who come to their respective units," she continued.
Dra. Syafnita said that the educational staffs are USU's spearhead in managing the organization in order to create the desired bureaucratic changes.
"The desired bureaucracy is an accountable, a competent and capable bureaucracy, as well as providing superior services for the USU academic community to the Indonesian people," she said.
She also added that HR training was contained in the (Government Regulation) PP. No. 17 of 2020 concerning PNS (Civil Servant) Management. "This is regulated in detail in the state administration agency tasked with fostering civil servants," she concluded. (©ULC)
