USU PR - The Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) Hospital has provided 2,000 Covid-19 vaccines for children. This was conveyed by the Rector of USU, Dr. Muryanto Amin was present at the launching of children's vaccinations at USU Hospital on Thursday (12/30/21).

This vaccination activity will be held from 30-31 December 2021 and is specifically for children aged 6-11 years. In practice, there are no special requirements to participate in this vaccination activity. Participants are only asked for an identity card for completeness of data and accompanied by parents.

The Rector said that the launch of this vaccination was a form of USU's commitment and support to the North Sumatra Provincial Government and the Indonesian Pediatrician Association (IDAI), to continue to work together in anticipating and dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Rector said that children aged 6-11 years also need to be given the right of protection or protection for the preparation of PMTP (Limited Face-to-face Learning)

"Children also need to be protected, so if they want to go to school, they can be safe," the USU Rector said.

Dr. Muryanto assessed that the implementation of education to the public about the Covid-19 vaccine was good enough, so that USU as an educational institution was appropriate to assist in providing this vaccination.

Danish Muhammad Hariadi, one of the participants in the child vaccination, said that this activity was very fun and there was no fear at all.

“Good feeling, and fun, not scared either,” said Danish who invited his friends to immediately take the Covid-19 vaccine and never feel afraid.
