HUMAS - The Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Sumatera Utara held the 70th Anniversary of the USU Faculty of Medicine with the theme "Early Detection for Healthy Woman" with a series of agendas such as seminars or scientific speeches, community service, sports and arts, intimate nights or grand reunions, and campus service . This activity was held at the USU Faculty of Medicine on Wednesday (09/14/2022).

The Rector of the Universitas Sumatera Utara, Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos, M.Si advised that USU's FK is expected to be a leading faculty within the Universitas Sumatera Utara. Both in terms of achievement, improving the quality of alumni, as well as in planning and developing organizational governance that it carries out.

The Rector added that the Faculty of Medicine, which was the first forerunner to the establishment of the campus, could increase cooperation in the field of research and community service that targets health problems that exist in the community, by collaborating with fellow medical education institutions at home and abroad, forming focus group discussions on certain issues in the health sector, as well as synergizing and contributing directly to every health effort and program launched by the government.

In line with this, the Dean of USU's FK Prof.Dr.dr. Aldy Syafruddin Rambe, Sp.S(K) hopes that the country's pandemic situation will get better. Having shared responsibilities with lecturers, education staff, and students can make USU Medical Faculty superior, great, and trusted by the community.

Of course, with students who are expected to study harder, USU Medical Faculty can become one of the leading Medical Faculties in Indonesia and in the international arena.

"At the age of 70, the USU Faculty of Medicine must become one of the leading medical faculties in Indonesia and at the

International world. For this reason, USU Faculty of Medicine students must study harder to prove that they are qualified doctors of national and international quality," he said.

He explained, our responsibility is getting bigger, we have to bring this USU Medical Faculty to be superior, more powerful, more trusted by the people, not only in Indonesia but if possible we have to go international. Shared responsibility between lecturers, education staff, and students. (©ULC)
