“We should all be proud, because wherever the state’s duty calls—from Sabang to Merauke, from Miangas to Rote Island—KORPRI members are always present, remain loyal in service, and never tire of striving for the nation’s progress and the welfare of society,” said the Vice Chair of the USU Board of Trustees (MWA).
USU PR – Universitas Sumatera Utara held a ceremonial commemoration of the 54th Anniversary of the Corps of the Republic of Indonesia Civil Servants (KORPRI) on Monday (01/12/2025) at the courtyard of the Rectorate Bureau Building.
In the address of the Chairperson of the National KORPRI Executive Board, delivered by the Vice Chair of the USU Board of Trustees (MWA), Prof. Dr. Tamrin, M.Sc., appreciation was conveyed to all State Civil Apparatus (ASN) for their loyalty and dedication in supporting national development. He also emphasized the government’s support for strengthening KORPRI through various bureaucratic reform policies, including the enactment of Law Number 20 of 2023 on ASN as the foundation for bureaucratic transformation toward cleaner and more effective governance.
“We should all be proud, because wherever the state’s duty calls—from Sabang to Merauke, from Miangas to Rote Island—KORPRI members are always present, remain loyal in service, and never tire of striving for the nation’s progress and the welfare of society,” he stated.
This year, the 54th Anniversary of KORPRI carries the theme “United, Sovereign, Together with KORPRI, Realizing an Advanced Indonesia.” In line with this theme, Prof. Tamrin, through his remarks, invited all ASN to maintain solidarity and neutrality, and expressed his hope that all State Civil Apparatus (ASN), particularly within the USU environment, will continue to work hard to achieve USU’s aspirations over the next five-year period.
“Of course, all KORPRI members and ASN within Universitas Sumatera Utara must work hard to achieve USU’s aspirations in the next five-year period,” he said.
In the same vein, the Secretary of Universitas Sumatera Utara, Prof. Dr. dr. Muhammad Fidel Ganis Siregar, M.Ked(OG), Sp.OG, Subsp.F.E.R., FICS, emphasized to all members of KORPRI at USU the importance of working with integrity, upholding professionalism, and consistently providing excellent services to the public.
“We must uphold our integrity and professionalism as State Civil Apparatus and members of KORPRI at USU,” said the University Secretary.
Through this commemoration, it is believed that the spirit of togetherness will position KORPRI as a moral and social force that strengthens governance, while also serving as an important pillar toward Indonesia Emas 2045.
