USU Rector Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si said this activity was carried out to improve the quality of human resources, as well as to open up a wider space for the implementation of various activities that support the development of scientific skills and innovations of USU graduates among other things, by enabling the transfer of information, expertise and experience, as well as cooperation in the fields of scientific development, research and innovation
PR USU - Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) is collaborating with Singapore Health Duke NUS Global Health Institute (SingHealth) in order to improve health, especially in research and health education at USU. The activity was held at the Central Administrative Bureau Building, Thursday (7/7/2022).
USU Rector Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si said this activity was carried out to improve the quality of human resources, as well as to open up a wider space for the implementation of various activities that support the development of scientific skills and innovations of USU graduatesamong other things, by enabling the transfer of information, expertise and experience, as well as cooperation in the fields of scientific development, research and innovation.
"USU will collaborate with SingHealth to improve health, especially in the field of health research," the Rector mentioned.
The USU Rector hopes that with this collaboration the relationship between USU and SingHealth can be closer and able to make a positive contribution and also expand opportunities and opportunities for USU to be faster and more precise in achieving the work program that has been planned.
Director SingHealth Duke NUS Global Health Institute Prof. Tan Hiang Khoon said that USU and SingHealth have something in common, namely to increase knowledge and understanding for generations who want to become doctors in the future.
"USU and SingHealth have something in common in terms of increasing understanding for the generation who want to become doctors," he concluded.
Prof. Tan Hiang also said that this collaboration must be realized immediately in order to jointly advance USU in the health sector, especially in terms of providing education, research, and the application of science in the health sector.
