PR USU - Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) participated in the Medan City Expo, one of the APEKSI Commissariat Region I activities. The educational exhibition occurred at Benteng Field on Thursday (30/06/2022).

Medan City Expo 2022 is a program held by the Medan city government. At the event, USU participated by exhibiting many USU lecturers' innovation products and 3 USU innovation products that PAS Company had released some time ago. It was conveyed by USU's Vice-Rector III Prof. Dr. Poppy Anjelisa Zaitun Hasibuan S.Si., M.Sc., Apt.

"So USU plays a role in the Medan City Expo 2022 activities held by the Medan City Government. So here we are exhibiting 13 products made by lecturers, and also 3 products that PAS Company has released," said Prof. Poppy.

Prof. Poppy hopes that all USU's innovative products can be commercialized and all requirements for commercializing these products can be fulfilled immediately so that the wider community can use them.

"Hopefully, all USU's innovation products can go up, be commercial, and be used by the community. And all the requirements for him to become commercial can be fulfilled immediately," he said.

In line with this, Buchari, S.T., M.Kes, a lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering, said that USU's role in this exhibition is a way to promote products so that he hopes that USU's innovation products will be increasingly recognized. Visitors will know that USU has innovative products ready to be commercialized.

“The products from the USU innovation design development agency are getting more and more well-known to the public. It is how we promote our products. So the visitors now know that USU has innovative products ready to be commercialized," said Buchari.

As additional information, there were also several products from USU's 13 innovation products that were exhibited at the Medan City Expo including Galdena Biscuits, furniture made from unused palm oil trunks, and others.
