USU PUBLIC RELATIONS - The Rector of USU, Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si., emphasized that the sectors that must be boosted for international rankings are tracers of studies and student achievements at national and international levels.
"Those two things we must improve together, I ask FISIP to focus on encouraging student achievement to national and even international levels," Dr. Mury said during a working visit to USU's FISIP, Monday (6/28).
The former Dean of FISIP explained that FISIP's achievements in achieving A accreditation were maintained.Excellent service programs such as the One-Stop Application (ASA) must also be innovated and the number of services increased.
"This work visit to FISIP is like going home, so I ask the leadership of FISIP to maintain the existing achievements and now they must focus more on fostering our students to be more accomplished," he said.
Accompanied by Vice Rector I Dr. Edy Ikhsan, Vice Rectorr III Dr. Poppy Anjelisa Z Hasibuan, Vice Rector IV Prof. Opim Salim Sitompul and Vice Rector V Luhut Sihombing, MP, the Rector asked the ranks at FISIP to also maintain the rhythm of USU’s achievement, which have won several awards at the International level.
“Our target is to reach the 500th position in the QS WUR ranking within the next five years.So it has to start now.We will arrange infrastructure, improve practicing lecturers and maximize the Merdeka Learning Campus Merdeka (MBKM) program," he said.
The Dean of FISIP USU Hendra Harahap, PhD, accompanied by Deputy Dean I Husni Thamrin, MSP, Deputy Dean II Dr. Hatta Ridho and Deputy Dean III Dr. Harmona Daulay said that his party would assist the work program of university leaders in particular encouraging world class universities.
"We found that there are several factors and existing problems, we hope that the rectorate and faculties can coordinate to be able to overcome these problems and problems so that the work program at FISIP can be in line with the work program at the Rector's Bureau," he said.
The Dean of FISIP also said that currently FISIP was strengthening the dissemination and improvement of international journals."The international journals of these lecturers will be documented so that they can be properly recorded," he said.
Deputy Dean II Dr. Hatta Ridho added, FISIP will also try to facilitate students for zoom financing.“Currently, the financing for the procurement of zoom services has not been budgeted, so we plan to divert some portion of the budget.This can also be used by students for discussions related to the competitions that will be followed," he said.
The Rector's working visit to FISIP was also attended by the Head of the Information System Center (PSI) Muhammad Anggia Muchtar, MMIT, the Exist TEAM who will improve infrastructure at FISIP and the USU Public Relations Team. (©ULC)
