Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) students once again achieved a proud accomplishment at Innovillage 2025, held at the DAMAR (K) Auditorium Building, West Java, on Wednesday (20/05/2026). The Innovillage 2025 Awards were presented as a form of appreciation for students, supervising lecturers, and the best social projects that successfully delivered technology-based solutions to address various social challenges in Indonesia.
Innovillage is a collaborative program between Telkom Indonesia, Telkom University, and universities across Indonesia. The 26th Innovillage 2025 carried the theme “Drive Innovation, Create Impact, Build a Lasting Future,” encouraging students to create sustainable digital solutions with meaningful social impact.
The competition highlighted students’ critical thinking skills, creativity, and tangible contributions in solving social issues within rural communities through digital approaches.
The event also became a platform for two USU student teams to showcase their innovations. The first team came from the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology (Fasilkom-TI), named Clear For All, which successfully won 1st Place in the Best Showcase and Poster category. The second team came from the Faculty of Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Study Program, named Kripack, which won 2nd Place in the MSME and Women Empowerment category.

Director of Student Affairs and Alumni of USU, Prof. Dr. Agus Purwoko, S.Hut., M.Si., stated that the achievement proves USU students possess strong capabilities and competitiveness in creating impactful innovations for society.
“We highly appreciate the students’ hard work, creativity, and enthusiasm in developing impactful innovations. This achievement is expected to motivate other students to continue creating, collaborating, and confidently competing at both national and international levels. USU will continue supporting efforts to achieve global accomplishments,” he said.
Through this achievement, USU will continue encouraging students to develop technology-based innovations that provide sustainable benefits to society while strengthening the university’s reputation at both national and global levels.
