USU PR - Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) held a Socialization of the Higher Education Endowment Fund Program (DAPT) Enhancing Quality Education for International University Recognition (EQUITY) Project Year 2023. It took place in the Prof. Dr. Suhadji Hadibroto Hall of FEB USU, on Wednesday (04/10/2023).

This socialization was held as a continuation of the launch of the EQUITY program at USU, where the success of the program is highly dependent on the university's commitment to transforming from old ways to innovative new ways of carrying out the duties of the Tri Dharma of higher education.

USU Rector, Prof. Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si, in his speech highlighted that the EQUITY program is clear evidence of USU's commitment to developing curriculum, teaching methods, and facilities. As USU's effort to meet global standards.

"Engagement with overseas campuses and industry is an indicator of the success of the USU EQUITY Program. We need to know the position of the value obtained by USU," explained Prof. Muryanto.

Prof. Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si, added that he will form an education system, which ensures that the Tri Dharma of education produces reliable human resources and can provide solutions to problems in society.

"We must ensure that the EQUITY Program is carried out by the vision that has been designed. So that we can achieve the Golden Indonesia 2045 through strengthening competitive human resources," said Prof. Muryanto.

Finally, Prof. Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si, hopes that all those present on this occasion can make maximum contributions and play a strategic role in the development of the EQUITY Program at USU. Thus, USU can improve the educational ecosystem, to be on par with campuses in the 500 World University Rankings (WUR).

"We hope this event will provide a better understanding of the objectives, benefits, and implementation stages of the EQUITY Program," said Prof. Muryanto.

Prof. Dr. Eng. Himsar Ambarita ST., MT. as Director of the Directorate of Internationalization and Global Partnerships explained that USU, which is transforming towards a World Class University, received ADPT to support initiatives that will improve USU's academic services and strengthen USU's international image.

"So the point is there are two, namely academic services and research with international standards. So that the combination of the two will later brand USU internationally," said Prof. Himsar.

Prof. Dr. Eng. Himsar Ambarita ST., MT. explained that although this activity has existed before with the term WCU (World Class University) funds, it has now been improved and integrated better. By focusing on improving the implementation of the Tri Dharma of higher education by 70%, while 30% is to improve the ranking as WCU.
